Digital Printing
Digital printing is a printing technology that can produce printed sheets directly from a computer file, without going through some intermediate machine such as a plate-making machine. The benefits of this technology include faster turnaround times, lowered production costs, and the ability to write different images onto each successive piece to personalize items.
UV curing inks and coatings are becoming increasingly popular for digital printing applications because of benefits such as little to no VOC solvents used, reducing worker exposure to hazardous substances and environmental pollution. UV inks will not dry during print process before curing, but will dry almost instantly when cured allowing for higher production throughput rates.
